Experience a month of excitement in Johnson County! Enjoy fresh finds at Alvarado Farmer's Market, stomp grapes at the 17th Annual Harvest Fiesta at Lost Oak Winery. Don't miss the fun-filled celebration for K9 Sonic's 5th birthday, the BTX Back to School Bash, and a special dance hosted by Burleson Parks and Recreation for individuals with special needs. Splash with your furry friends at the Splish Splash Doggie Bash. Plus, support a great cause at the Burleson Animal Shelter Night at the Cleburne Railroaders game and Boujee Bags & Bubbles auction!
Farmer's Market
Support local businesses at the Alvarado Farmer's Market. Peruse the variety of vendors at the open-air market to get goodies of all kinds from 8:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. Conveniently located on the corner of Cummings and College, this Farmer's Market is the perfect place to spend a Saturday morning.

17th Annual Harvest Fiesta & Grape Stomp
It’s Lost Oak Winery’s 17th Annual Harvest Fiesta and Grape Stomp! This fun family event is free to attend, but you must purchase tickets to stomp grapes and get your commemorative Annual Harvest Fiesta tote bag, complete with your own grapey footprints. There will be live music by the always lovely Aurora Bleu’s full band, Hibachigo Food Truck, Nona’s Argentina Bakery & cool things down with Jeremiah’s Italian Ice, vendors, award-winning Texas wine, and more! Are you an I Love Lucy fan? If you are or you just want to have fun, come out dressed in your best Lucy costume. There will be a costume contest with prizes to the top 3 Lucy’s. Bring a lawn chair to relax with a glass of wine or spend the day stomping and dancing! As always, feel free to bring your own food and drink, but please, per TABC regulations no outside alcohol. Get your stomp tickers here! *UPDATE: GRAPE STOMP TICKETS ARE SOLD OUT – but you are welcome to come join the party without the stomp!

Sonic's Turning Five
Hot Dawg, Sonic's Turning 5! This is a birthday celebration you won't want to miss! Help us celebrate K9 Sonic’s birthday with a fun-filled day at the Burleson Animal Shelter!

- Free hot dogs for everyone (while supplies last)!

- Games and activities for kids and dogs!
- A chance to win a raffle prize for anyone who adopts a dog during the event!

Friendly Fest Carnival Dance
Burleson Parks and Recreation is hosting its third annual dance for individuals with special needs and disabilities on August 16. This year’s theme is Friendly Fest Carnival Dance! Participants can dress to the theme if they would like. Come join us for a night of fun carnival games, dancing, food and friendly faces. The event is free and open to individuals with special needs and disabilities with a parent or guardian. Registration is required and available online. Chaperones will also need to register. Splish Splash Doggie Bash
A fun-filled day gone to the dogs! Let your furry, four-legged friend take a swim in the BRiCk Outdoor Pool, visit with dog friendly vendors, win some prizes and have fun. Read over complete rules and register online.

Burleson Animal Shelter Night at Cleburne Railroaders
Come watch the Cleburne Railroaders take on the Kane County Cougars on Aug. 21 and $5 from EVERY TICKET gets donated to the Burleson Animal Shelter. You MUST purchase your tickets through this link. Gates open at 6 pm, and the first pitch will be thrown out by one of our animal control officers at 7:06 pm, AND it'll be Wiener Wednesday which means all hotdogs are $1 each!
